In 2013 the Labyrinth artwork was commissioned by TfL to be created by the British artist Mark Wallinger which then marked the 150th anniversary of the London Underground.

The artwork consisted of 270 (until 2023) enamel plaques of unique unicursal labyrinth designs, one for every station on the Underground.
Each is numbered according to its order in the route taken by the contestants in the 2009 Guinness World Record Tube Challenge.
Each labyrinth is located in a publicly accessible part of the station, such as a ticket hall, platforms or waiting room.

In 2023, 2 New ones were added: Nine Elms (Number 110a / 270) and Battersea Power Station (Number 110B / 270) - Mirroring the branching of the Northern line from Kennington to form the extension of the Northern line the two new designs are numerically linked to Kennington's Labyrinth - numbered 110 / 270
